Greetings
Haven't logged in to the mar-lin site in quite some time. It looks great and is very user friendly! After seeing a message from my brother I thought I might as well get into the act.
Reunion next summer sounds great. I hope my brother and his family can make it as they missed out on the fun the last time.
I still live in Eastchester and work in NY City. Would love to hear from fellow campers in the area so we can get together more often than at Reunions. I see Rich Freiman every once in a while in the city as we both work down the street from one another. He and I Visited with Linda last summer and I'm happy to hear she is doing better. I speak to Janet Schwadron Cord often and she fills me in on whats doing with Neil Feinstein and Bruce Newman. So Bruce, how's the Johnny Rocket's doing? I hear you offered to have special kosher Johnny Rocket's prepared for the Reunion !
Any Westchester people looking for a good clay/hardtrue tennis club?

Catchup with old friends
I went to Mar-Lin for 1 year (1971:OL3). Kept up with friends Barry Weinbaum, Harvey Grossman, and Barbara Tannenbaum for awhile. Steve Glassman was best man at my wedding and went to college with Steve, Mike Kahn, and Mara Schiffman. Would love to hear from Barry and Barbara, Harvey, or anyone else from that summer. Regards

50TH ANNIVERSARY CAMP MAR-LIN REUNION
It's been almost four years since our last reunion at Camp Mar-Lin. We had a tremendous turn-out, and all agreed that "You can go back".
Now, it is time to plan for the REUNION of the CENTURY...the 50 year Anniversary of CAMP MAR-LIN.
The dates, June 4,5,6, 1999 are already reserved with the camp. They are expecting hundreds of us to be there at Flag Raising, Saturday Morning,
June 5, 1999. It's a late sleep-in that morning, so be there at 10:00 A.M.sharp!
In the months ahead, there will be lots of planning going on. Suggestions from you, are more than welcome.
Remember...1-9-9-9 CAMP MAR-LIN ...50 Years!
SAVE THE DATES.......JUNE 4 (Arrival), JUNE 5 (Flag raising at 10:00 A.M.),JUNE 6 (Closing Day) 1999.
Best regards,
Jeff "Music" Berger

I read the messages on the bulletin board. I remember Becket Gorge. Getting soaked! Sleeping on the bus. And perhaps the most disgusting thing of all, tuna sandwiches with french derssing and raisins--eeeccchhh! HOOS is coming, along with the one armed brakeman and THE HOOK!

Sleep-away Camps a la Mar-Lin
Hi everyone! We're finally on-line!! This is my first foray into the Mar-Lin site.
We're just beginning the search for a sleep-away camp for my oldest son(age 9) for next summer. Anyone have experience with a "haimishe" camp, just like Mar-lin, that I should look into? Of course, if Mar-Lin was still a sleep-away camp... well, I guess all our kids would be there!
Love to hear from old friends. My e-mail address is MPPortnoy @aol.com. Bye for now...

The law firm of Newman & Newman, with offices
in New York City, Scarsdale, Manhasset, Cordova, and Memphis, and all points in between, is prepared to handle all professional services in connection with the 1999 reunion. We believe that legal counsel should not be from New Jersey. After all, their football team sucks. We offer special multi-state personal injury representation for all those campers who will get injured on the teatherball court. Over the years, our clients include the following camps: Birchwood, Berkshire,
and all of the Birches, including John. Our firm includes lawyers who have been disbared,
disciplined, and disappointed. In fact, disappointed is our most favored outcome. To

Grettings to past campers from 1970 & 1971
Hi all,
Still living in CT in fact just a stone's throw away from the camp. I'm still able to go out there for different social events and it still looks the same. After learning how to dive at Camp Mar-lin I went on to try-out for '94 Olympics but guess what? I had to dive from the high board and that's not what I was trained on at the camp. So I didn't make the team. Hope to hear from some former bunk-mates. Later for now. Lisa

After 12 1/2 years in Dallas, we're moving back north. That's corporate life! Well, the Cowboys are fading and the Steelers look pretty good....Are there any campers in Pittsburgh? Now that I'll be closer to the action, maybe I can get to the next reunion.

I am finally in cyberspace!!!!!!!!!!
I suppose out here all the stars are our candles on the lake. I love and miss all of you. This is quite a yearbook. Ethel and I are recouping from cancer and uncle charlie is hanging on. Bob and I have two children; one is at Syracuse, the other is in middle school. I'd love to hear from all of you . My camping days are with my 6th grade class and I have a bigger and better flashlight for the woods because where I am, there are bear. I got to play the werewolf at the campfire which Charlie would never let us do at ourplace, except for "HOOS". They pulled a raid on me, but it was all good memories and lots of fun. Contact me at my E-mail address.
Love,
