The Watanka Kings

As the OL 4 "Watanka Kings" roll down the Overlook trail for flag raising the following conversation can be heard:

Billy: "I am the greatest"

Danny: "How can you be if I am?"

Rafi: "All three of us are."

Andy: "You wish!"

Eddie: "I still think Dick Stuart has you all beat."

Larry: "That's wrong!"

Hal: "Everything's wrong around here."

Mike: "What did you expect-Miami Beach?"

Kenny, Aide: "All of you shuddup."

Richie: "My friend Mel and I are always quiet, expecially at socials."

Stan: "Sure, sure, I know it."

The "Watanka Kings" have had an interesting and full year of camp life. Their activities have spanned such aspects of camping as their exciting and unforgetable upriver canoe trip. This event will be remembered by all the Watankas.

Billy, Danny and Richie will always remember and be remembered for their adventures during the socials.

Bunk philosopher Rafi Reiz is often seen holding conversations with the whale at the bottom of the pool. For those who aren't aware of it the pool is Rafi's home away from home.

While Gary Berlin is running his way to Mar-Lin fame we see him passing the archery range where Andy Calev has just shot six straight bullseyes. As Gary approaches the softball field he notices Eddie Shelasky making a great stab to rob Hal Mandel of a hit. After the game Hall hurries up to the bunk to sharpen up for the girls of Cabin 6.

Meanwhile, Stan Barmash is asking one of his counselors to take him to the rifle range so that he may test his newly acquired skill. That ends another day in the life of Overlook 4.

The great counselors of the Watanka Kings leave their boys the following:

Danny "Hoss" Berger: A Twig on the Blockhouse Trail

Billy "Schmoign" Phillips: A Sherry soda for 8 weeks

Hal "The Ant" Mandel: A celery stalk

Rafi "The Woodpecker" Reiz: A box of Carolina "Reiz"

Richie "The Sea Bass" Klein: A kingsized graceful award

Stan "The Man" Barmash: A new muscle shirt all his own

Andy ""DIP" Calev: First place in the DSOTY award contest

Gary "The Snake" Berlin: A golden Bat and a pair of Bob Hayes' track shoes

Eddie "Aardvark" Shelasky: A carload of ants and a pair of matching socks.

Mike Smith: Schaefer on a hot dog

Larry "Cigarette Twirler" Richman: Someone from Bayside to talk to besides M.K.
