The Boys From U.N.C.L.E.

The eight weeks fo camp literally flew by for the boys and counselors of bunk 1B. The boys from U.N.C.L.E. enjoyed many activities together without losing any of their spirit.

On openining day, nine campers showed up in Overlook 1B, prepared for anything; there were quite a few outstanding athletes which pleased us. Jeff Zieky and Jon Warner quickly established themselves as top swimmers. The softball team had quite alot of mainstays, including Larry Phillips, Avy Goldstein, Robby Karn, Jon Warner and Jeff Zieky. Larry Phillips also proved himself to be one of the top archers in the camp, with Gary Okun not too far behind. Our track man was Dave Zubrow, gifted with great speed. Most of the bunk enjoyed arts and crafts, and Dave Brody blossomed as one of the best actors in camp.

The bunk enjoyed many special activities. Among these were a trip to summer stock, Oriental nite, and Oscar nite in which a stirring performance was put on by Larry Phillips as Dennis the Menace.

Soon the first half of camp ended, with Dave Zubrow, Gary Okun and Brad Albert departing. In their places came Rory Singer, Alan Sherman(hello muddah, hello faddah), Bob Levine, and Lenny Sander. Rory proved to be a fine all around athlete, being outstanding in swimming, softball, and tennis. Alan was also an all around camper, being a fine archer in addition to everything else. Bob proved himto be one of the finest swimmers in camp. Lenny was a fine all around camper, being able to do everything well. It was the addition of these four boys which helped bolster the softball team to pull a stunning upset over bunk 2A.

Toward the end of camp, the bunk appreciated more activities together. Among these were a boat trip up the Connnecticut River, putting on a show, and participating in Topsy-Turvy day, in which Alan Sherman and Jeff Zieky wereed counselors, and Larry Phillips was Dave Archery, with Dave Brody as Les Dramatics. We all liked Olympics, and enjoyed participating in all the camp activities.

With the end of camp it seems only proper that we wish you all a good winter, and hope to see you again next. year.
