Blockhouse - The Sportsmen

 

We the Sportsmen of Blockhouse, being of sound mind and body do hereby declare this our Last Will and Testament to be the only one and true recording of our bequests to the Blockhousemen who will follow in our exalted footsteps.

Therefore, we the hereunder named do solemnly charge and ordain that these bequests be inscribed in the Camp Mar-Lin yearbook and that this record be guarded inviolate until the implementation of these bequests be effected.

Richie Halpern leaves one unfinished manuscript of his forthcoming book "The Truth about Dick Stuart."

Jeff Rudolph leaves an empty bottle of peroxide and a pamphlet entitled "Only his Hairdresser Knows."

Howie Haber leaves a copy of Schopenhauer's "The World as Will and Idea" that he couldn't finish reading during camp.

Harry Forstadt leaves a secret recipe for shrimp stuffed with grapeleaves to anyone who has guts enough to make it.

Jeff "Sammy" Samuels leaves a dog-eared copy of "How to Win Friends and Influence People" to any counselor who can't figure him out.

Roger Goren leaves a worn out washcloth and a half finished jar of pimple cream to anyone who is so afflicted.

Stuie Lackman leaves a used slalom combo to next years' aspiring water-skiers.

Bruce Reissman leaves eight Howdy Doody dolls for next years' cabin 1 to take to bed with them.

Steve Cottler leaves a giant economy size life jacket and a thank-you note to Norm Graham.

Norm Graham leaves a dented canoe and a life saving manual of next years' heroes.

Jim Kaplan leaves a worn-out flashlight, a heavy Boston accent and a set of lessons on how to lead raids to the person who will take over his job next summer, three othersfor bridge and P.J.B.

Chazz Schoenfeld leaves a noose, a set of thumb screws, a whip and a bottle of tranquilizers to next years' Blockhouse counselor.

This our Last Will and Testament is inscribed and recorded by the Sportsmen of Blockhouse, Camp Mar-Lin, Windsor, Connecticut in this year of 1964.
