Another season at Camp Mar-Lin has passed, and with it, many fond memories. We remember well that first night of camp when Larry Issacs complained about the "dirt" on the beams. Then there was Roger Berger who always ruined Charlie's food budget. Becket Gorge was the boys' big three day overnight hike. Everybody on the hike managed to get wet with the exception of Larry Schoenfeld, who didn't stray from the camp site. Oh yes, Skippy Meyers lost his nine iron on the hike...he was chipping balls into Jake's sleeping bag.
And then the Junior Prom came. Frank "Valentino" Small found the dance a rough night. He had two dates...he now has none.
August's big project consisted of attempting to tire out Lenny Swelling. We lost because Lenny has Geritol hidden in the bunk. This month also brought wedding bells for Jeff Nevins and Adrienne Radding. There's another wedding after camp...Jeff Berger and a counsellor from Cabin Ten!
Upon the conclusion of the camp season Jake, our watchdog, will be tied up, for he has a fit everytime he sees a "beast." Oh yes, Jake is bringing up his go-go mobile next summer along with a new pair of socks to sleep with.
Leon, the well-mannered young man, only refused his counsellors one wish...to white-wash the bunk. Ricky and Dale were inseparable...they both demanded to come to camp to have a good time.
And before I leave this wonderfull way of life-happy, that is-
